About me

I’m currently a PHD student at the Institut of Mathematics of Bordeaux under the supervision of Jean-François Aujol and Yann Traonmilin working on the subject of Parameter-free Image decomposition. My research is on Optimization, Plug and Play/Learned Regularizatioon and low dimensional models in image/signal processing. Previously, I have worked on mathematical modelisation of color perception and Clifford/Jordan Algebra in image Processing. Appart from research, I also teach from under-graduate up to master students, applied and general mathematics.

Research Engineer in Public Health

Before starting my PHD, I worked for a year at the Bordeaux Population Health Research Center as a research engineer in the IETO team (part of the AHeaD team now). My work was comprised of the following:

  • In partnership with the CEREMA, I worked on automatically evaluating the safety of pedestrian crossing accross France using deeplearning.

  • Working jointly with Emergency Department of “CHU de Pellegrin” and Emergency services in order to link data streams between both services. A major part of the information that is collected by both services is in fact in textual form. In this context, we used deeplearning methods in Natural Language Processing in order to extract information from reports, which does not exist as standard data (e.g How/Where accidents happen).
